Kaden Staley is a visual storyteller and photographer specializing in outdoor commercial media, fine art landscapes, and documentary projects. Based in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, his work is shaped by the rugged, quiet landscapes of the Northwoods and a deep respect for the environments and subjects he frames.

By day, Kaden serves as the staff photographer for Michigan Technological University, framing complex university narratives and managing high-volume production. In his freelance practice, he shifts focus toward outdoor commercial campaigns, environmental portraiture, and fine art landscape prints. Each environment sharpens the other—the fast-paced rigor of higher-ed production fuels his technical versatility, while his personal projects bring a refined, fine-art perspective back into every assignment. Both sides of his craft converge on a single goal: creating authentic, enduring visual imagery.

There’s always a camera within arm’s reach, but off-clock, Kaden is usually wading the cold-water streams of the Keweenaw with a fly rod, working on a project in the shop, or finding new places in the Upper Peninsula to sit and watch the lake.
